And here you can find an exhibition catalogue from a two-artist show I held in 2019 with Stanley Lewis

Each image follows a series of studies in which I have experimented with different light conditions and shifted the camera angle incrementally to increase my awareness of the formal relationships between objects in space. Through this process, materials join within the plane of the image and seem to form sculptural objects that were not present in front of the camera.

I edit rather tediously, subtracting hundreds of details at the pixel level, balancing light and color, and in some cases distorting perspective. My alterations are designed to remain largely imperceptible yet produce an oneiric feeling, placing the images somewhere between the clutter of documentation and the abstraction of memory. The camera leads me to become more aware and critical of gaps in my own perception, and I want my photographs to encourage active, critical looking in turn.
